Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), New Delhi, has launched Phase 1 of its website –
www.amazingthailand.co.in. Conceptualized and developed by Indigo Consulting, the website specifically targets Indian tourists.
For TAT, India is one of its most important markets. Close to a million people from India visit Thailand every year and this number is likely to grow sharply in the coming years. To achieve its objective of popularizing tourist destinations and expanding its market in India, TAT is relying heavily on the usage of internet as a marketing medium. Says Adina Murry, Marketing Officer, "We want to project Thailand as an exciting, a family and round-the-year tourist destination. We expect the website to create awareness about Thailand and make people look beyond popular tourist spots such as Bangkok and Phuket."
The new website provides all information that an Indian tourist planning a visit to Thailand would require. From exploring exciting destinations, places to stay, weather reports, to events and a comprehensive traveler’s guide, the website covers it all. The Phase II of the website would be launched soon and will introduce greater interactivity and community features.
