The International Group of Department Stores (IGDS) is a leading association of department stores worldwide. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, IGDS counts among its members, the world's most prestigious department stores including Selfridges, Printemps, Tangs, Marks & Spencer, Woolworths SA, and our very own Shoppers Stop. Formed in 1946, IGDS aims to provide a meeting platform for its members, and explore and support synergies between them.
Needless to say, the Internet is potentially the most efficient and powerful channel for IGDS to extend its services and provide the right tools to foster the community. After extensive and detailed evaluation of potential partners worldwide, IGDS selected Indigo Consulting to create and manage their new web platform.
Besides a member directory, the proposed website will feature tools for networking, collaboration and information exchange. A web-based content management tool will allow IGDS to update and maintain the website with minimal fuss.
