Furtados is the country's leading music instruments retailer, operating in the bricks-and-mortar space for around 140 years. Recognizing the needs of the new Net-savvy user as well as business operations, they chose Indigo Consulting to create an e-commerce site, which would not only integrate online operations with the existing ERP, but also provide a rich user experience to the online buyer.
Commenting on the focused objective of the business house, Vikas Tandon, Director, Indigo Consulting says," Furtados provided us an opportunity to leverage our expertise in the e-commerce domain, and in designing usable customer experiences online."
Adding to the challenge of designing the website was the additional task of establishing an online identity for the business- a process which involved the client as well as Indigo Consulting's team of skilled designers.
The site is rich in features which include convenient browsing of a catalogue that boasts over 20,000 items, online payment, order tracking and fulfillment. A separate zone for Furtados dealers, and user profile selection were added to complete the experience.
The site is currently under development and is expected to be launched by the first quarter of 2005.
