Rentfusion Inc is a Computer and AV Equipment Rental company based in Chicago. Rentfusion's clients include leading corporations like McDonalds, Accenture, Ernst & Young, Motorola and Kraft Foods.
Business requirement:
Rentfusion had identified the need to rebuild its site to make it an extension of the
company's sales and service function. The site had to be transaction enabled, allowing clients
to browse and rent equipment online, request a quote, and obtain online help for their service requests.
Further, Rentfusion had also launched the Platinum Circle - an exclusive programme for select Rentfusion clients.
Each Platinum Circle client would have customized web pages on the site, where they could order equipment online,
track their rental consumption, and request for support. To make this service an
effective differentiator, it had to be easy to set-up so that the
pages were ready and updateable at short notice.
Further, Rentfusion's stock of equipment also changed very often increasing the need for a powerful Content Management system.
Solution:
Indigo Consulting has developed a comprehensive e-commerce site (www.rentfusion.com) for Rentfusion,
using the scaleable and interoperable Java platform. Using technologies like Macromedia Flash and DHTML, we have built a
UI that is not only easy to navigate but has also set the direction for the company's new identity and branding.
To maintain the site, Indigo Consulting has built a comprehensive Content Management System that allows Rentfusion's web
team to update equipment details and prices, cross-sell equipment based on user preferences, and set-up customized web pages for their Platinum Circle clients.
Results:
The Rentfusion website is an industry-leader in the USA, in
terms of functionality offered and business generated.
