For the perfect wedding of capitalism and socialism, all you need to do is walk into Indigo Consulting’s Cama office on a late Saturday afternoon.

No, that’s not when we break the Berlin Wall again. That’s when Saturday Bazaaru, Indigo’s own version of the flea market, kicks into high gear. The idea is that those with piles of Hardly used/Unused stuff ought to have a platform to put it up for sale with the entire proceeds going to charity. Ultimately, we couldn’t find a platform and the merchandise ended up being displayed on tables and boxes in a colourful mélange of clothes, shoes and a lot more…
The advantages are two-fold: everyone gets a good deal (the sellers get to donate to charity, while buyers pick up a good bargain) and everyone gets to take time off on Saturday afternoon! Yay!
At the Bazaaru, the office comes as close to being a flea market as it can. There’s stuff everywhere and people are patiently browsing to find that one killer item they always wanted. Navin bought a jar with flowers on the lid and a missing bee. Shashi bought green tinted sunglasses. Dean bought the missing bee.
All in all, an idea which was conceived after a couple of beers and was executed after a couple of projects seems to have hit the right notes. Here’s to more such Baazarus, more such ideas and more such beers!
Cheers & Enjoy…
