Navin Balakrishnan is a Loser. In fact, he is the Biggest Loser I have seen in Indigo. Instead of poking fun at this loser, I am envious of him. He has bagged the prize that I was hoping for (Biggest Loser Jeetega Contest winner). He does not look as thin as the Arial Narrow font now but he weighs 114 kgs – 5 kgs lighter than he used to be in a frame of 6 feet 2 inches. Satyajit named him big guy rightfully so. We still call him that, but apparently he is the one big (winner) guy.
He was least expected to win, of course… or so I thought. Because he is one bindaas guy. I remember all his friendly and sporting nudges for all the bingeing that I did on pizzas, pastries and fried snacks. He meant well. Seems he had not planned to win but I suspect his viral fever a week ago got him this prize. But I had expected the least competition from him. Sigh!
His prize made me even sadder. He got Pantaloons gift voucher worth Rs. 2000. That made me all the more jealous. It would have been so much fun going shopping FREE **. With the lower weight, I would have had the fun of fitting in to clothes a size smaller.
Navin does not share the secret of his success. Though, he himself has admitted that he had tampered with the weighing scale to win this. Authorities! Please take note of this and set up an investigation committee for this.
What hurt me more was that I was not even in the running. Priya lost 1 kg, Jayshree lost 2.5 kgs and I gained 1 kg
. You know what; I was the most hyped one what with following the fruits & veggies only diet (& I had lost 4.5 kgs) in the first week of the contest & all. My name was touted as the winner by most of them. Obviously, it all fizzled out by the end of the contest.
Hey! Big guy, Congrats dude. I know you truly deserve this honour. And thank you for inspiring me to lose weight. I will definitely follow your friendly advice for the Dwitiya round.
(Can I now share a little bit of your prize, c’mon, I’ve been so nice)
