In his never-ending quest for optimising allocation of computing resources at Indigo Consulting, Ashish (our 24×7 helpline for all things computing) has been indulging in a game of musical chairs with our PCs. And with new people joining the team practically every week, we suspect he will soon be seeking to build a linear programming model to help retain the remaining hair on his teen-age head.

An outcome of this constant shifting of PCs has been that one of the old printers (which needs to be connected to a PC to be shared) keeps finding a new host. As a result, each user has to pretty much find the printer when it is needed and reinstall it.

Others might think of this as a nuisance, but not the irrepressible Team Indigo. The latest source of entertainment at Indigoville is the weekly “Find the Printer” contest. Every time Ashish changes the printer location, the first to find its new location wins big – a free printout!!
