If Life was a software
Working on my computer,
Sometimes it made me think,
If life was a software,
It would never stink
Imagine if u had a choice
To SELECT ALL happiest moments
COPY and PASTE it in the present
To put an end to your laments
Precious times with loved ones
If only you could INSERT
In BLANK DOCUMENTS of Life,
which seemed Inert
FORMAT those bland moments
With FONTS of beauty
And FILL it with Color
With a THEME full of gaiety
If HELP was at hand
At all those difficult instances
And TOOLS were always available
To bridge those distances
Imagine if you could UNDO
a terrible mistake
And REDO those shots,
Which were good at first-take
If Life was OLD VERSION
You could easily UPGRADE
If prompted for payment
A CRACK had it swayed
But sometimes I wonder
If untouched, life is better
Cos, a BLUE SCREEN could end it
And apologize for the ERROR

At the Farsan Shop
Not that frequent …a’rite
But sometimes… my jaws do drop
At the very sumptuous sight
Of the local Farsan Shop
“Jaswant, the shop is named….
A stones-throw from local station
The crowd…they look quite tamed
As it supplies their daily ration
The mouth-watering smorgasboard
Of savouries put up on display…..
Those snacks, hard to be ignored,
For your senses…do a foreplay
Each bite of the dahi Kachori
Each morsel of that crispy Samosa
With green chutney…hot and fiery
Puts a shame to the routine “Dosa
Being a student of management
I appreciate their supply chain
Bottlenecks are quite non-existent
And their resources never strain
Quite often, I visit the joint
Cos its on way to local station
Time really stops at that point
As I indulge without hesitation

The Mumbai 7/11 Catastrophy
7/11, the catastrophy was branded
Millions of Mumbaikars, it left stranded
Mumbai’s LIFELINE turned ill-fated for some
They never anticipated what was to come
As if the blasts were just not enough
People panicked as even the weather got rough
It poured incessantly for the next few hours
Affecting rescue operations – those darned showers!!
Communications took a hit as cellphones failed
Damn!! Those telecom operators should be nailed
Families tried to contact their near & dear ones
Worried about safety of their daughters and sons
As people struggled to reach their home
Some kind souls on the street, did roam
Packets of food & water were distributed
Resources in cash & kind were contributed
The indomitable mumbai spirit reigned supreme
Its people responded to whoever did scream
As the governance stood hapless, yet again
Its subjects ensured – relief operations began
The damages ran deep and were not just epidermal
But Next Day itself, the city limped back to normal
Restoring its heartbeat, Mumbai’s people acted as Pacemaker
My heart fills with pride & acknowledges “Mee Mumbaikar
